Description	:	Katie Frances Wells was born August 2,1866 in Monroe county, Iowa and departed this life, October 11, 1944 at the age of seventy eight years, two months and seven days. In 1880 she came with her parents to Knox county, Nebr., where in 1887, she united in marriage to William Clark Hubbard. Mr. Hubbard passed away, Feb. 25, 1932. Mrs. Hubbard joined the Methodist church at the age of twenty and took part in all activities of the church as long as her health permitted. Read More	Katie Frances Wells was born August 2,1866 in Monroe county, Iowa and departed this life, October 11, 1944 at the age of seventy eight years, two months and seven days. In 1880 she came with her parents to Knox county, Nebr., where in 1887, she united in marriage to William Clark Hubbard. Mr. Hubbard passed away, Feb. 25, 1932. Mrs. Hubbard joined the Methodist church at the age of twenty and took part in all activities of the church as long as her health permitted. In 1905, Mrs. Hubbard joined the Degree of Honor Lodge and derived a great deal of pleasure from the contacts and friends made in this organization. Mrs. Hubbard has been in poor health for many years, suffering from an incurable heart ailment. In March 1940, she fell, breaking a hip, but recovered sufficiently to get about on crutches and many times had to be restrained from too much activity. In Jan. 1943, she had a stroke which left her unable to read or write. She never recovered from this affliction. Her faith in her God never wavered and her patience and courage is a challenge to family and friends alike. Five children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Hubbard, two of whom died at birth. Her son, J. Clark Hubbard, passed away Jan. 30, 1919 at the age of thirty. Mrs. Hubbard reared his daughter, who was born after his death. Survivors are son, Major Burton G. Hubbard, somewhere in New Guinea and daughter, Mrs. Marjorie McCann, Omaha, three granddaughters, three sisters and one brother. Funeral services were held from Lynch Methodist church,Sunday,October 15, 1944 with Rev. Lloyd Snodgrass, pastor, in charge.
