Description	:	GEORGETOWN \| Katie Lois Cannon McCants, 85, wife of the late T. Paul McCants, died Thursday, July 30, 2009 at her residence. Mrs. McCants was born September 14, 1923 in the Oak Ridge section of Williamsburg County, a daughter of the late Boston Cornelius Cannon and the late Mary Norton Cannon. Mrs. McCants was married to Mr. McCants for 58 years and together, with him, owned several restaurants in Georgetown, the last one being The Lafayette. Read More	GEORGETOWN \| Katie Lois Cannon McCants, 85, wife of the late T. Paul McCants, died Thursday, July 30, 2009 at her residence. Mrs. McCants was born September 14, 1923 in the Oak Ridge section of Williamsburg County, a daughter of the late Boston Cornelius Cannon and the late Mary Norton Cannon. Mrs. McCants was married to Mr. McCants for 58 years and together, with him, owned several restaurants in Georgetown, the last one being The Lafayette. Gordon, of Georgetown, and Ginger McCants-Haithcock and her husband, Homer Haithcock, of Georgetown; three grandchildren, Tammy McCants Weaver and her husband, David Weaver, of Andrews, Tommy Gordon and his wife, Kim Gordon, of Pawleys Island, and Jeremy McCants and his wife, Marie, of Georgetown; four great-grandchildren, Brooke Cox of Georgetown, Amber L. (Sergeant Anthony) Pomranky of Jackson, North Carolina, and Katie Gordon and Luke Gordon, both of Pawleys Island; three great-great-grandchildren, Elijah, Ashlyn, and Cameron; a brother, Doras Cannon of Rockingham, North Carolina; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Thomas Lavern McCants. Funeral services will be held 4 p.m. Monday, August 3, 2009 at Graham Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Sunday, August 2, 2009 at the funeral home.
