The news has so far been called upon to record is that of Mrs. W.H. Reese, who died at the family home near Poole, Friday evening, Dec. 13, 1918. Katie Meyers was born in the city of Chicago, Oct. 8, 1893 and was 25 years, 2 months and 5 days at the time of her death. She came to Nebraska with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Max Meyers, when she was a child about 5 years of age, and grew to womanhood in Cedar township in this county. She was united in marriage with W.H. Reese, April 22, 1914, and two children came to bless their union, the eldest now about four years of age and the youngest about two, and one of the saddest features of her death is that these two babes are left without a mother's care. Brief funeral services were held at the late home of the deceased, and public services were later conducted at the Cedar township German Lutheran church by the pastor, Rev. Kistermann. Interment was made in the churchyard cemetery. In and about Poole the deepest sympathy is felt for the bereaved husband and the immediate members of the afflicted family. Kearney Daily Hub
