Description	:	Kea was married to Berend Hinderks Buus on Dec. 18, 1867 in Freeport, IL. 8 children were born to this union; Antje, Lena, Antje, Wopke, Weert B., Henrika, John B. and Henry B. Kea attained the age of 82 years. Mrs. Berend Buus (nee Kea Freese) was born in Raudermoor, Eastfriesland, Germany. In the year of 1862 at the age of 15 she came to America. She made her home in the vicinity of Freeport, IL, later moving to Iowa, Kansas and finally South Dakota, first south of town and then east on the farm now occupied by her son John... Kea attained the age of 82 years. Mrs. Berend Buus (nee Kea Freese) was born in Raudermoor, Eastfriesland, Germany. In the year of 1862 at the age of 15 she came to America. She made her home in the vicinity of Freeport, IL, later moving to Iowa, Kansas and finally South Dakota, first south of town and then east on the farm now occupied by her son John B. Buus, and finally in Lennox itself. Her husband was taken from her side on Jan. 28, 1919. She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters, and two daughters both named Antje, one of whom died Jan. 25, 1969 and the other Mar. 23, 1986. She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Wobeke Fericks, six children, Mrs. Lena Smith of Madison, SD, Mrs. Wobeke Kettwig of Lennox, Mrs. W. B. Buus of Holland, IA, Mrs. Reka Begeman of Twin Brooks, SD, Mr. John B Buus of Lennox and Mr. H. B. Buus of Lennox, besides an adopted daughter, Mrs. Bertha Kallssen of St. Paul, MN and 26 grandchildren.
