He was born in Fort Fairfield on May 22, 1935, the son of Kenneth Eldon and Greta Elizabeth (Barnes) Bubar. He was a veteran and served in the Marine Corps, then met and married Marleen Hart on August 7, 1954 in St. Albans. He was born in Fort Fairfield on May 22, 1935, the son of Kenneth Eldon and Greta Elizabeth (Barnes) Bubar. He was a veteran and served in the Marine Corps, then met and married Marleen Hart on August 7, 1954 in St. Albans. Keith had 38 years of service at Irving Tanning, served on the board of selectman for the town of Hartland for many years and was also a member of the Hartland school board for several years. Over the years he had many interests and hobbies, including horse racing, was an avid fan of the New York Yankees and loved woodworking. During his high school years he was a member of the state championship baseball team for Hartland Academy. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Marleen (Hart) Bubar of Hartland; three sons, John Bubar and wife Julie of Rockport, Mass., Vernon Bubar and wife Donna of York and Randy Bubar of North Anson; two daughters, Belinda Fletcher of Hartland and Bonnie Bubar of Hartland; three sisters, Tressa Nelson of Hampden, Marie Hopkins of St. Albans and Darlene Boyd of Hartland; seven grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, Kenneth and Greta Bubar, two brothers, a grandson and a great-grandson. A graveside service will be held at the Jordan (Starbird) Cemetery in Hartland.
