Mr. and Mrs. Vern Christiancy and Betty Lou. The Nebraska Signal 16 August 1934 page 7. ALSO: Keith Laverne, son of Vern Christiancy, was born February 24, 1927, at their home near Strang. He had always lived there. He attended both public school and Sunday school, making friends and chums of the neighbor boys. He was a liable lad and was a friend of all who knew him. His illness was short. He was called to his Heavenly Father’s care August 6, 1934, in a hospital at Lincoln following an appendicitis operation. A baby sister, Doris Anne, preceded him in death. He leaves his father, mother and little sister Betty Lou, besides many other relatives and friends, both old and young. Funeral services were held Friday, August 10, in the United Brethren Church in Strang, where Keith attended Sunday school and church. Services were conducted by Rev. A. B. Small. Burial was in the Geneva Cemetery. The Nebraska Signal 16 August 1934 page 8. The following has been contributed by Find A Grave member, Linda West Hume: From the Bruning Banner dated 8-9-1934: The little son of Mr. and Mrs. Verne Christiancy of Strang died Monday of complications incident to a ruptured appendix. Mrs. Christiancy was formerly Sarah Keiker. At one time she taught in the Bruning Enlarged district.
