Description	:	Kelly Eugene Paylor Jr., of Mallard's Way, Semora, died Saturday, September 15, 2001, at Person Memorial Hospital, where he had been hospitalized for five months. Born November 10, 1929, in Roxboro, he was the son of Lillian Bailey Paylor and Kelly E. Paylor Sr. He was married to Sylvia Blackmon Paylor, who survives. Mr. Paylor was a life-long resident of Person County and was graduated from Roxboro High School and attended Louisburg College. Born November 10, 1929, in Roxboro, he was the son of Lillian Bailey Paylor and Kelly E. Paylor Sr. He was married to Sylvia Blackmon Paylor, who survives. Mr. Paylor was a life-long resident of Person County and was graduated from Roxboro High School and attended Louisburg College. He was the owner and operator of Kelly Paylor Wholesale for 40 years until his retirement in 1991, when he was employed part-time with R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co. He served for 10 years in the National Guard Reserve and was a member of Milton United Methodist Church. Mr. Paylor will be remembered for his positive influence on the youth of Roxboro by coaching Midget League football for 21 years and teaching Sunday school at Long Memorial UMC. Mr. Paylor was also a charter member of the Person County Bowling League. Survivors, in addition to his wife, of 15 years, includes his daughter, Sheryl Bradsher Paylor, of Roxboro; two sons, Kelly E. Paylor, III (Kep) and his wife, Lesa Turner Paylor, of Raleigh, and Austin Dane Paylor, of the home; a sister, Marion P. Perry and husband, Roy, of Durham; a brother, Charles Terry Paylor, of Alton, Va; and four grandchildren, Kellie Elizabeth Harris, Zachary Lawrence Harris, Currin Adeline Paylor, and Belle Bradsher Paylor. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday at Brooks & White Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. John P. Upton officiating.
