Description	:	Kenneth Mergenthal, 67 of West College Corner, IN, went to be with the Lord Saturday, April 19, 2014 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. Kenny was born to Lester and Mildred (Meyer) Mergenthal on July 21, 1946. He graduated from Union High School in College Corner. After graduation he served in the National Guard for six years while working at NCR in Dayton, OH. He began working with his father, and together they began Mergenthal Soil Service in 1977. Read More	Kenneth Mergenthal, 67 of West College Corner, IN, went to be with the Lord Saturday, April 19, 2014 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. Kenny was born to Lester and Mildred (Meyer) Mergenthal on July 21, 1946. He graduated from Union High School in College Corner. After graduation he served in the National Guard for six years while working at NCR in Dayton, OH. He began working with his father, and together they began Mergenthal Soil Service in 1977. He operated the business until it was purchased by Crop Production Services in October of 1997. Kenny continued to work for CPS until his recent retirement due to his health. He enjoyed serving on the College Corner Cemetery Board. Kenny was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend who will be missed dearly. Kenny is survived by his wife, Penny, to whom he was married for 44 years, his daughter, Anne (Andrew) Stanley, his son, Aaron (Emily) and three grandchildren, Clayton, Addison and Easton. He is also survived by two sisters, Carole Schuler of Batesville, IN, Alice (Alan) Seals of Liberty, IN, and a brother, Keith of Bath, IN. and extended family and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Pam Getz and Ellen Simpson. Funeral services will be conducted at Urban-Winkler Funeral Home, 310 N. Main Street, Liberty at 11:00 AM Thursday, April 24, 2014. Burial will be in College Corner Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4-8 PM.
