Description	:	Kenneth B. Hall was born September 23, 1920, on a farm southwest of Strawberry Point, Iowa, the son of Ray and Cecil Rowle Hall. He attended country schools and graduated from Lamont High School with the class of 1938. Kenneth was united in marriage to Evelyn Ruth Allen on November 27, 1941, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Lamont. To this union were born five children: Phil, Melvin, Kent, Cheryl, and Leon. Hall was born September 23, 1920, on a farm southwest of Strawberry Point, Iowa, the son of Ray and Cecil Rowle Hall. He attended country schools and graduated from Lamont High School with the class of 1938. Kenneth was united in marriage to Evelyn Ruth Allen on November 27, 1941, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Lamont. To this union were born five children: Phil, Melvin, Kent, Cheryl, and Leon. They farmed south of Lamont for seven years and moved to the Hall farm for forty years. In 1988, they moved to their home in Lamont. In addition to farming, Kenneth worked as a hail adjuster and measured bins for the ASCS office in Manchester as well as serving on the ASCS board. Kenneth was a longtime member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Lamont and recently joined St. Mary's Catholic Church in Strawberry Point. After retiring from farming in 1984, he enjoyed bowling and playing golf. Kenneth entered into his eternal rest on Saturday October 13, 2007, at the Regional Medical Center in Manchester following a short illness. He was 87 years of age. Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Evelyn in 2006; his infant son, Phil; his son, Kent in 1998; and his brother, Mervin Hall. Survivors include his sons: Melvin (Linda) Hall of Guttenberg and Leon "Mike" of Oelwein; his daughter Cheryl Prendergest of Winthrop; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; two sisters: Shirley (Charlie) Pech of Lamont and Bev Steger of Knoxville; and other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, October 16, 2007, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Strawberry Point with Rev. Paul R. Peters officiating. Music will be provided by Karen Kremer and Kay Dolan. Casketbearers will be Steve Steger, Robert Steger, Bob Sytsma, Dave Pech, Joel Pech, and Jim Hall. Interment will be in St. Albert's Cemetery, east of Lamont. Friends may call from 3 PM until 7 PM Monday, October 15, 2007, at the Fawcett Funeral Home in Lamont and after 10 AM Tuesday at the Church in Strawberry Point. ..Arrangements & Obituary: Fawcett Funeral Home in Lamont, Iowa.
