Description	:	Kenneth Dale Troyer, was born June 30, 1935 at home in Beaver Crossing, Nebraska to John R. and Elsie (Eicher) Troyer the 7th of 8 children and passed away Thursday, August 2, 2012, at his home in Milford, Nebraska. As a young boy he attended District 80 Country School and graduated with the class of 1953 from Beaver Crossing High School. Following high school, Kenny served in the 1W Mennonite services in Denver helping polio patients with physical therapy. Read More	Kenneth Dale Troyer, was born June 30, 1935 at home in Beaver Crossing, Nebraska to John R. and Elsie (Eicher) Troyer the 7th of 8 children and passed away Thursday, August 2, 2012, at his home in Milford, Nebraska. As a young boy he attended District 80 Country School and graduated with the class of 1953 from Beaver Crossing High School. Following high school, Kenny served in the 1W Mennonite services in Denver helping polio patients with physical therapy. Kenny furthered his education by attending the Lincoln School of Commerce in 1961/62. On July 9, 1954, Kenny was united in marriage to Phyllis Stutzman in Beaver Crossing and to this union, a son, Dennis, and three daughters, Marla, Jeanie and Kathrina "Renie" were born. Briefly they made their first home in Denver, Colorado and after Kenny's dad passed away they returned to Nebraska and farmed on the home place east of Beaver Crossing from 1955 – 1961. He started a long-time career with Farmland Cooperative as a feed truck driver and retired in 1997 as general manager. In his spare time, Kenny spent many hours mowing at Thornridge Golf Course and also volunteering his time and talents at the Et-Cetera Thrift Store in Seward and time spent at Foster Care Closet and Macies Thrift stores in Lincoln. As a young many he was baptized at West Fairview Mennonite Church and later became a member of the Beth-El Mennonite Church where he was a faithful member. He also served on the Board of Directors for the Thornridge Golf Course and the Et-Cetera Thrift Store. Kenny and Phyllis enjoyed traveling to many states and spent many vacationing holidays in Florida. He enjoyed playing golf, bowling, woodworking, gardening and canning the bounty, bird-watching, knitting, machine embroidery and rug weaving, and playing cards. Kenny especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Hugs all around. Survived by his wife, Phyllis, Milford, son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Shelly Troyer, Milford, daughters and sons-in-law, Marla Kohmetscher, Grand Island, Jeanie and Dan Rouse, Lincoln, Renie and Tony Schaben, Milford, grandchildren and spouses, Marc and Beth Kohmetscher, Rustin and Taryn Kohmetscher, Melissa and Anthony Tolen, Karlette and DJ Yoder, Denielle and Dustin Ficke, Allison and Aaron Policky, DJ and Becky Rouse, Jenifer Rouse, Kenton Schaben and Alexis LaDuc, Emily Schaben and Joshua Schaben, 13 great-grandchildren, Nolan and Hope Kohmetscher, Halle, Olivia and Ian Kohmetscher, Dylan and Jacob Tolen, Brecken and Neliyah Yoder, Brynlee and Tessa Ficke, Lyla Policky, Carter Schaben, brothers and sisters-in-law, Cloy and Norma Jean Troyer, OR, Lauren and Verba Troyer, Milford, sisters and brother-in-law, Grace Roth and Lela and Gary Benson, all of Milford, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Dennis and Veryl Stutzman, Luella and Cleve Schweitzer, Edna Roth, Lois and Gerald Schweitzer, Stan and Joyce Stutzman, all of Milford, Ruth Erb, Shickley, Barb Stutzman, Nora, many nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Kenny was preceded in death by his parents, John R. and Elsie Troyer, great-granddaughter, Lillian Kohmetscher, still-born brother, brothers, Milton, Stanley, and Royden Troyer, parents-in-law, Burt and Elma Stutzman, several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Betty Troyer, Doreen Troyer, Darleen Troyer, Robert Roth, Jake Erb, Roy Stutzman, Willard Roth, and Bill Nitszche.
