Description	:	Royden Royce Troyer, of Milford, died Saturday, February 4, 2006 at Crestview Care Center in Milford at the age of 82 years and 18 days. He was born January 17, 1924 in Milford to John R. and Elsie (Eicher) Troyer, the 2nd of eight children. As a young boy he attended Pilot Knob country school District #23. Read More	Royden Royce Troyer, of Milford, died Saturday, February 4, 2006 at Crestview Care Center in Milford at the age of 82 years and 18 days. He was born January 17, 1924 in Milford to John R. and Elsie (Eicher) Troyer, the 2nd of eight children. As a young boy he attended Pilot Knob country school District #23. As a young boy, Royden accepted Christ as his personal Savior and joined West Fairview Mennonite Church. On November 11, 1945 Royden was united in marriage to Doreen E. Stutzman at her parent's home in Milford and to this union two sons, Rodney and Lynn and two daughters, Patricia and Paula were born. Together they made their home in Milford where Royden worked for the School District as a bus driver and later as the Transportation Supervisor, retiring in 1989. He joined the Bellwood Mennonite Church in 1959. In his spare time he enjoyed participating in bowling league and loved to play cards, especially the game of Rook, dominos and any game his grandchildren enjoyed. Royden's grandchildren were very important to him. His grandchildren rode the bus with their grandfather and have many special memories of that time. Royden was a hard worker and had a wonderful sense of humor, was a loving and gentle father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Royden is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Rod and Ginny Troyer and Lynn and Barbara Troyer, all of Cape Coral, FL, daughters and sons-in-law, Trish and Larry McWain, Surprise, AZ, Paula and Dan Pickerill, Milford, grandchildren and spouses, Jeff and Rebecca Troyer, Brad and Kirsten Troyer, Jeremy Troyer, Angela and Jason Baker, Sam and Kristina Troyer, and Miracle and Chris Woertz, all of Florida, Carie McWain, Omaha, Mindy Thiessen, Avondale AZ, Travis Pickerill, Hesston, KS, Troy Pickerill, Milford, Toby Pickerill, Lincoln, great-grandchildren, Joanna, Rachel, Sarah, Andrew, Jacob, Emma Grace, Aaron, Maegan and Caden Troyer, Jacob and Ashley Baker, all of southwest Florida, brothers and sisters-in-law, Stan and Barb Troyer and Cloy and Norma Jean Troyer, all of Oregon, Lauren and Verba Troyer and Kenny and Phyllis Troyer all of Milford, sisters and brother-in-law, Grace Roth and Lela and Gary Benson, all of Milford, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Eleanor Troyer, Milford, Lillian and Lawrence Beckler, Seward, Robert and Jeanette Stutzman, Merrill and Vi Stutzman, all of Milford, Hazel Stutzman, Wooster, OH, many nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Doreen in 2003, a brother, Milton, and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. A Funeral Service was held on Tuesday, February 7, 2006 at Bellwood Mennonite Church with Rev. Orlan Koehn officiating. Private Family interment in Blue Mound Cemetery, Milford. Memorials have been established to the Royden and Doreen Troyer Scholarship Fund at Milford Public Schools or to the church. Pallbearers are Jeff, Brad and Jeremy Troyer, Travis, Troy and Toby Pickerill. Honorary Pallbearers are Sam Troyer, Angela Baker, Miracle Woertz, Carie McWain, and Mindy Thiessen.
