Interment was made in the church cemetery with Koehn Bros. Funeral Home, Parkston, in charge of arrangements. Casketbearers were Steve Herrmann, Collin Neugebauer, Kendra Neugebauer, Lakin Neugebauer, Kade Neugebauer, Jennifer Herrmann, Brittney Neugebauer, Skylar Neugebauer, Landon Neugebauer and Ethan Neugebauer. Kenneth Neugebauer was born September 13, 1936, to Jerome and Selma (Baier) Neugebauer at Parkston. He was baptized and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church, rural Dimock. He attended grade school at a country school, then Ethan and Parkston, graduating from Parkston High School in 1954. He married Vera Mae Bendusch on June 27, 1954, at Immanuel Lutheran Church. For two years, they lived on a farm southwest of Mitchell and then moved to a farm west of Dimock. They raised dairy cattle and farmed there until 1998 when they moved to Parkston. He was active in his church and bowling associations throughout the years. He will be inducted into the Mitchell U.S. Bowling Congress Association Hall of Fame later this spring. He died Thursday, April 17, at Avera St. Benedict Hospital in Parkston after a long battle with cancer at the age of 71 years. He is survived by his four sons, Dan Neugebauer and wife, Connie, Parkston, Rick Neugebauer and wife, Danna Jo, Mitchell, Perry Neugebauer and Amy Ruml, Mitchell, and Mike Neugebauer and wife, Bridget, Mitchell; eight grandchildren, Jennifer Herrmann and husband, Steve, Collin, Brittney, Kendra, Skylar, Lakin, Landon, Kade and Ethan Neugebauer; three brothers, Delbert Neugebauer and wife, Marlys, Parkston, Bill Neugebauer and wife, Dianne, Dimock, and Jerome Neugebauer Jr. and wife, Mary Ann, Moville, Iowa; sister-in-law, Pearl Neugebauer, Parkston; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Vera Mae; two brothers, Harold and Donald; in-laws, Wayne and Erma Miller; and a great-grandson, Jace Herrmann. Parkston Advance
