Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. John's Lutheran Church, Bellevue, with Pastor Paul Gammelin officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Kingery-John C. Lemke Funeral Home, Bellevue. Friends also may call after 9:30 a.m. Monday at the church. He was born on Aug. 9, 1916, in Bellevue, son of John and Marie (Wiese) Gieseman. He married Thelma Michels on Sept. 10, 1940, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Bellevue. Kenneth was a farmer. He was on the St. John's Church Council, Bellevue Community School Board and the former Bellevue Memorial Hospital Board. He also was an honorary member of the Bellevue Horseman's Club of which he was one of the original organizers. He loved horses, dogs, fishing, the outdoors and his rides in the country. Most of all he enjoyed time with his family and friends, especially with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Surviving are his loving wife, Thelma; his three daughters, Connie (Eldon) Merfeld, of Zwingle, Doris Greaves, of Clinton, and Diane (Rich) Norpel, of Bellevue; his grandchildren, Bryan (Kim) Gaylor, Kim (Jeff) Johnson, Scott Greaves and Troy (Sarah) Norpel; his great-grandchildren, Kayley, Brandon, Nathan, Kinsey, Caleb, Alexa and Aurora; a brother, George (Adela) Giesemann; a sister, Verrena Dagitz-Stein; a sister-in-law, Mary Giesemann; a brother-in-law, Royal (Carol) Michels; and numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Virgil Giesemann; brothers-in-law, Melvin Dagitz and Ken Stein; and a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Wilfred and Bernice Michels.
