Description	:	Kenneth "Ken" Earl Ahrens was born October 14, 1920 in Leigh, Nebraska to Emil and Louise (Loseke) Ahrens. He passed away October 4, 2012 at the Golden Living Center in Tekamah, Nebraska, at the age of 91 years. At the age of four he moved with his family to Tekamah where he spent most of his life on the farm. In 1939, he graduated from Tekamah High School. Read More	Kenneth "Ken" Earl Ahrens was born October 14, 1920 in Leigh, Nebraska to Emil and Louise (Loseke) Ahrens. He passed away October 4, 2012 at the Golden Living Center in Tekamah, Nebraska, at the age of 91 years. At the age of four he moved with his family to Tekamah where he spent most of his life on the farm. In 1939, he graduated from Tekamah High School. On February 4, 1943, Ken married Mabel Clements at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Tekamah. To this union two daughters were born, Susan and Cindy. Ken served from June 1944 to February 1946 in the Army Air Corps. He was a pilot and flew a C46 Cargo plane between China and India. He was very proud of his time in the military. He was a lifetime member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church. He enjoyed farming, dancing, hunting, fishing and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Mabel; his sister Lois; and daughter Susan. Survivors include his daughter, Cindy (Will) Belfrage of Tekamah, NE; son-in-law, Guy Williamson of Omaha, NE; three grandchildren, Laura (Tim) Thayer-Mencke, Christine Williamson and fiancé Tim Moran all of Omaha, NE; K.J. (Manni) Belfrage of Elkhorn, NE; five great grandchildren, Cale, Grady, and Wesley Belfrage, Emilee and Beau Thayer-Mencke; brother, Eldon (Helen) Ahrens of Tekamah, NE; brother-in-law, Floyd (Marge) Clements of Beachwood, NJ; many nieces, nephews, and friends. FUNERAL SERVICE Sunday, October 7, 2012, 2pm at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Tekamah. Burial with Military Honors Tekamah Cemetery, Tekamah. VISITATION Saturday, 4-7pm with family receiving friends 5:30-7pm at the funeral home in Tekamah. VISITATION will also be held at the church one hour prior to services.
