Read More	Susan L. Williamson 1947 ~ 2007 SUSAN LOUISE WILLIAMSON was born to Kenneth and Mabel (Clements) Ahrens on January 13, 1947, in Omaha, Nebraska. She passed away on Friday, February 9, 2007, at Methodist Hospital in Omaha after a long, courageous battle with breast cancer. Susan graduated from Tekamah High School in 1965. She continued her education at Wayne State College and earned a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. She taught for five years at Washington Elementary in Fremont, one year at Tekamah Elementary in Tekamah, and twenty-six years at Twin Ridge Elementary in Bellevue. During her teaching career she was a member of the Bellevue Education Association, the Nebraska State Education Association, and the National Education Association. She retired from teaching in 2002 and became a member of BEAR, the Bellevue Education Association-Retired. On June 7, 1974, she married Guy Williamson in Tekamah. They lived most of their lives in Omaha. She was a lifelong member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, where she was baptized and confirmed. Susan enjoyed gardening and spending time outdoors. There wasn't a flower or plant that she didn't like. Her true enjoyment came from the time she spent with her family. She was preceded in death by her grandparents. Survivors include her husband, Guy, of Tekamah; two daughters, Christine Williamson and Laura Thayer-Mencke and husband, Tim, all of Omaha; parents, Kenneth and Mabel Ahrens of Tekamah; sister Cindy Belfrage and husband, Will, of Tekamah; nephew K.J. Belfrage and wife, Manni, and great-nephew Cale all of Omaha. FUNERAL SERVICE: Saturday, February 17, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Tekamah, Nebraska. VISITATION: will be held Friday 1- 8 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 6-8 p.m. at Pelan Funeral Services Tekamah. Visitation will also be held Saturday at the church one hour prior to the service. BURIAL: Tekamah Cemetery, Tekamah, Nebraska. MEMORIALS: Susan G.
