Description	:	Kenneth George Vetsch, the son of George R. and Agnes (Goetz) Vetsch was born August 10, 1943 in the rural home of his parents near Fillmore, North Dakota. He died at the age of 69 years of cancer on Tuesday, January 15, 2013 in his home in Rugby, North Dakota, under the care of his family. Read More	Kenneth George Vetsch, the son of George R. and Agnes (Goetz) Vetsch was born August 10, 1943 in the rural home of his parents near Fillmore, North Dakota. He died at the age of 69 years of cancer on Tuesday, January 15, 2013 in his home in Rugby, North Dakota, under the care of his family. Kenneth was raised on the family farm in Benson County near Fillmore, North Dakota. He received his education in the Fillmore school and after, continued to work on the family farm. On October 17, 1970, he was united in marriage to Rose Mary Bohl at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Knox, North Dakota. The couple made their home on the Vetsch family farm where they farmed and raised a family of six children. In 2001, they moved to Rugby and resided there. Rose Mary died on August 8, 2005 from cancer. Ken continued to help on the family farm and also did maintenance work for the Hub Restaurant for a period of time. He spent most of his time with his family. He was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church in Fillmore until its closing and St. Boniface Catholic Church in Esmond. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus and a Honorary Member of FFA. He had a love for farming and enjoyed hunting and fishing, but he cherished most, spending time with his family. He was survived by four sons, Paul (Kim) of Esmond, LeRoy (Donna) of Minot, Mike (Julie Hamilton) of Rugby, and Jason of Minot; two daughters, Renae Vetsch of Rugby and Jennifer Vetsch of Minot; 12 grandchildren; two sisters, Ann Hagel of Bismarck, and Jeanette Bray of Mahnomen, Minnesota; four brothers, Fred (Gloria) and Richard (Joanne) all of Rugby, Daniel of Pierre, South Dakota, and John (Lois) of Coleharbor, ND; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rose; a brother, Henry; and his parents. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 19, 2013 at the Little Flower Catholic Church in Rugby with spring burial in St. Ann's Cemetery, Fillmore. Fr. Tom Graner, Celebrant. Visitation will be from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Anderson Funeral Home in Rugby. There will be no reviewal in the church. Rosary & vigil Prayers will begin at 7:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
