Description	:	He was born he was the only child of George and Evelyn ( Rosie) (Wendt) Frick. His mother died 21 days after he was born and he was adoped by his maternal grandparents, William J. and Ella (Helmer) Wendt. He attended country schools, the Spearfish Lab School and Newell. With his older brothers, they helped family members with farming and ranching. He began his life’s career in the automotive field, pumping gas in Newell. His mother died 21 days after he was born and he was adoped by his maternal grandparents, William J. and Ella (Helmer) Wendt. He attended country schools, the Spearfish Lab School and Newell. With his older brothers, they helped family members with farming and ranching. He began his life’s career in the automotive field, pumping gas in Newell. He spent with Patrons’ Oil, as the gas and propane delivery man and as a mechanic. His first encounter with computers was working in the parts department at Junek’s in Spearfish. After retirement “Mr. Kenny” had his best job ever as a bus driver transporting Early Intervention program children. He was married on June 21, 1956. The next year they built their first and only home just south of Belle Fourche. Kenny was a superb gardener, sharing produce with family and friends. His melons went to schools and special people and his pumpkins adorned classrooms. He was recognized for his gladioli garden. He enjoyed deer hunting, fishing trips to Orman and Oahe, playing cards and video machines and making choke cherry wine. Surviving family members are his wife, two sons, one daughter, two grandchildren, a sister, and a brother. He was predeceased by his parents; grandparents; brothers, Donald, Bill, Chris, Fred, Carl and Jerry Wendt; sisters, Annie Bonato, Jessie Franke, Marge Jepsen and Ellen Rueb.
