Description	:	OBIT: Kenneth Hugunin 11/13/2000 CAMANCHE, Iowa -- Services for Kenneth H. Hugunin, Camanche, will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Camanche Chapel of Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory. Dr. Charles "Chuck" Klink, formerly of St. Mark's United Methodist Church, Camanche, will officiate. Private burial will be Tuesday in Rose Hill Cemetery, Camanche. Visitation is 6-8 p.m. today and 10 a.m. until service time Tuesday at the funeral home. Honorary casket bearers will be Jeff Stevenson, Mitchell Sherwood, Dan Murray, Don Obermiller, Terry Tyler and Renny Platt. Kenneth died Saturday, Nov. 11, 2000, at his home, after a courageous battle with cancer. Kenneth was employed 28 years a machinist at Alcoa Davenport Works, Riverdale. Kenneth Hoover Hugunin was born Oct. 31, 1918, in Camanche. He married Alberta J. Platt on July 13, 1941, in Camanche. He attended Camanche schools. During World War II, he served in the Army. He was a member of the 25 Year Club and St. Mark's United Methodist Church, Camanche. Kenneth was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed fishing, boating, hunting, gardening and biking. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that memorials may be made to either St. Mark's United Methodist Church, Camanche, or Mercy Hospital of Clinton. He is survived and lovingly remembered by his wife of nearly 60 years, Alberta; daughters, Vicki (Mrs. Jack) Mahan, Sebastian, Fla., Laurel Sherwood, Cedar Rapids, and Trudy (Mrs. Joel) Masden, Camanche; grandchildren, Jeff Stevenson, Jupiter, Fla., Lisa (Mrs. Dan) Murray, Clinton, Mitchell Sherwood and Melissa Sherwood, both of Cedar Rapids; a great-grandson, Taylor Murray, Clinton; sisters, Lois Schultz, Camanche, and Phyllis McDonnell, Sturgeon Bay, Wis.; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister and a brother.
