Description	:	Kenneth J. Cline, Sr., 45 Smithsburg, Rt. 1, died at 3 o'clock Monday morning at the hospital from injuries suffered Saturday evening when an auto in which he was a passenger crashed on the Cavetown-Wolfesville road. Arthur Elwood Kline, Smithsburg Rt. 1, driver of the car which failed to negotiate a right hand curve and plowed into an embankment escaped without scratch, state police reported only the two men were in the car. Surviving are his wife, Leah Toms Cline; sons, Kenneth, Jr., Smithsburg, and Donald and Robert at home; daughters, Mrs. Connie Herd, Magnetic Springs, Ohio; Mrs. Jean Funk, Myersville; Mrs. Eileen Tease, Plainfield, N.J. and Miss Patricia and Miss Virginia, at home; brothers, Woodrow Cline, this city, and Harold Cline, Smithsburg; sister, Mrs. Gladys Smetzer, Smithsburg, and five grandchildren. The funeral will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Mt. Bethel Methodist Church by the Rev. James Bissell. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the Minnich Funeral Home, Smithsburg. The body will lie in state at the church for one hour before the service. Morning Herald, Hagerstown, Maryland - Tuesday, July 12, 1960.
