Description	:	MONTICELLO, Iowa - Services for Kenneth J. "Ozzie" Otting, 53, of Monticello, formerly of Cascade, will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Cascade. Burial will be in the church cemetery, where military rites will be accorded by the Cascade American Legion Post 528. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Reiff Funeral Home, Cascade, where there will be a wake service at 7 p.m. Mr. Otting was employed as a carpenter. He died at 1:16 a.m. Sunday, July 20, 1997, at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Des Moines. He received his elementary education at the former St. Mary's school, Cascade, and was a 1962 graduate of the former Aquin High School, Cascade. He was a Vietman War veteran and a member of the Cascade American Legion Post 528. Surviving are a son, Jeremiah Otting, of Monticello; two daughters, Angie Ferguson and Melanie Otting, both of Monticello; two grandchildren, Jacob Ferguson and Tanner Wilson; his mother, Mildred M. Otting, of Cascade; a brother, Timothy (Betty) Otting, of Cascade; four sisters, Judith (Richard) Kalishek, of Plano, Texas, Kathryn (Bill) Barden, of Cascade, Ruth Ann (Jon) Gjerde, of Albany, Calif.; and Victoria (Dan) Kelchen, of Cascade; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Herbert B. "Chub" Otting, on June 4, 1990. A Kenneth J. Otting Memorial Fund as been established. Mug - Kenneth J.
