Description	:	Kenneth "Kenny" Jungling, 88, Max, died on Saturday, March 26, 2022, at a Minot hospital. Kenneth Laurel Jungling was born at the home of his parents, John, and Milda (Torno) Jungling, SE of Max, ND in Mclean County on June 16, 1933. He moved with his parents to Upham, ND as a young child. Read More	Kenneth "Kenny" Jungling, 88, Max, died on Saturday, March 26, 2022, at a Minot hospital. Kenneth Laurel Jungling was born at the home of his parents, John, and Milda (Torno) Jungling, SE of Max, ND in Mclean County on June 16, 1933. He moved with his parents to Upham, ND as a young child. He attended Deep River country schools in the Upham area and Sunday School at Bethlehem Lutheran Church until the family moved to the Max area in 1942. He attended Sunnyslope country school through 7th grade and continued the rest of his schooling at Max Public School, graduating in 1951. Kenneth was member of Peace Lutheran Church and was baptized and confirmed at that church. He was also very active in the Lutheran League, church choir and taught Sunday School. On March 9, 1958, Kenneth married his true soul mate, Shirley Jane Finkbeiner at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Max. They were the first couple to be married at the newly formed church which was a merger of the Peace Lutheran Church and Zion Lutheran Church. Kenneth served on the Our Savior Church council in many capacities including the Max-Douglas parish President, taught Sunday School, Sponsor for Lutheran League, in the Men in Mission Group of the church choir, and the "Praise Band" music group. Kenneth was also a farmer in the Economy Township beginning in 1951 until his retirement in 2004. He was also a sub-mail carrier for 40 years and was a member for the McLean County Rural Carriers association. He served on the Economy township board as clerk for 20 years. Kenneth was a member of the Max Civic Club, Max Golf Association, Max Alumni Association, and Max Community Choir and was a life-member of the Minot Elks Lodge 1089. In their "spare time," Kenneth and Shirley provided foster care for the Special Education Program for several years. Left to honor Kenneth are his two children, Kent (Catalina) Jungling, Colleen Johnson; 8 grandchildren, Benjamin Jungling, Misty Jungling (Richard Arroyo), Matthew (Katie) Jungling, Domonique Jungling, Samuel Jungling, Brandi (Brock) Enderson, Brianna Johnson, and Christian Johnson;10 great grandchildren, Destiney Black Jungling, Alyssa Jungling, Ava Jungling, Rex Jungling, Bailey Arroyo, Brady Jungling, Mackenzie Arroyo, Haven Enderson, Paisley Arroyo, Kollin Enderson. Brother, Donald (Janice) Jungling; brother-in-law, Jerome (Karen) Finkbeiner; ; nieces and nephews, Keith Finkbeiner, Noreen Otten, Paul Finkbeiner, Melissa Scheresky, Laurie Jungling, and Mark Jungling; and numerous cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, beloved wife, Shirley, sister, Lila Jungling, and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Norman, and Bonnie Finkbeiner. After Shirley's passing on April 16, 2017, Kenny continued to live on the family farm. He made trips to the Café and Cenex to say hello and enlighten locals on the upcoming weather and recent sporting events. Occasionally, he would make a special trip to his favorite restaurant, McDonalds and get a haircut at his favorite Barber Shop. He spent his afternoons watching tv, reading the paper and doing word puzzles, napping, and talking on the phone with friends and family. He also looked forward to his daily visits from the Meals on Wheels staff and would often brag about how wonderful and filling the meals were. Kenny's family would like to thank everyone who checked up on him, whether they stopped by the farm or called him on the phone. You made his dream of living out the rest of his life at the farm possible, and you will forever hold a special place in his and our hearts. He was able to stay on the farm until, (according to his great-granddaughter Haven) "the fairies picked up Grandpa Kenny with their big wings to go to heaven so he could be with Grandma Shirley."
