Description	:	KENNETH MELVIN AGNEW Kenneth Melvin Agnew. the son of Harry Abraham and Nellie Sarah Lawrence Agnew. was bom November 21, 1926 in Adams County, Iowa and passed away February 2, 1980 at the Red Oak Hospital, at the age of 53 years, 2 months and 11 days. He was united in marriage with Marilyn Cihak at the Mt. Zion Presbyterian Church December 28. 1957. This marriage was blessed with the birth of two children, Ray Dean and Kay Lynn. He was united in marriage with Marilyn Cihak at the Mt. Zion Presbyterian Church December 28. 1957. This marriage was blessed with the birth of two children, Ray Dean and Kay Lynn. Most of his life was spent in Adams and Montgomery counties where he farmed until 1971 when he sold fertilizer for a short period of time. Henry then worked at a factory in Red Oak, Iowa until 1975. Since that time his life has been devoted to helping people in the hospital in Clarinda. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having proudly served during the Korean Conflict, a member of the United Presbyterian Church where he served as elder, and he had enjoyed many hours of work in the Boy Scouts of America. Survivors include his devoted wife. Marilyn; one son, Ray Dean of Indianola and his friend Sharon Rusk; his daughter, Kay Lynn of Cedar Rapids and Janelle Barroughs and huaband Vince and their children, Clark, Brenda and Jessica of Welknan, Iowa, all of whom he considered his children and grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers, Wilmer '' Shorty'' Agnew and wife Betty of Aurora. Colorado and Harry Clifford Agnew and wife Betty of Rosella, Illinois.: one sister, Emma Scott of Corning, Iowa; his foster father-in-law, Rev. William.Niles; his mother-in-law, Mrs. Thelma Arnott: and sister-in-law, Mrs. Clifford Baldwin and family of Des Moines; ten nieces and nephews and eight grand-nieces and nephews. He will be remernbered as a devoted father and husband, his sense of humor, a great outlook on life and a love for the outdoors and handiwork. He had a great love of all people and a great devotion to the service of others. Funeral services were had at the United Presbyterian Church in Coming February 5 at 1:30 p.m. with Joe Cook officiating. Interment was in Adams County Free Press, February 7, 1980
