He was preceded in death by his parents. He was the son of Elmer and Mollie Burton Coomer. He was born Sept. 5, 1924 at Monticello, Ky. He was married to Mildred Franklin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Franklin of Kentucky. He resided in Monticello until moving to Kellogg. Mr. Coomer was a member of the Christian Church of Kellogg. Funeral services were at the Kellogg Christian Church, May 29. The Rev. Herbert Miller, minister of the church, conducted the services. Burial was in Our Silent City Cemetery. Mrs. Thelma Hill, organist, accompanied the soloist, Mrs. Wayne Anderson. Pallbearers were Shelby Cooper, Marvin Hamm, Lorrain Hawkins, Dale Richards, Dean Miller, and Edwin Witte. Johnson Chapel had charge of the arrangements. Those attending the funeral in Iowa were: Mr. and Mrs. Carl Coomer of Indianapolis, Leonard Coomer and daughter Dona also Mrs. Orpha Kennedy of Burney, Ind., Mrs. Dorothy Riggs and son David of Crawfordsville and Mrs. Lula Burchett of Carwfordsville, Ind.
