Description	:	Kermit "Jay" Laughlin of Hot Springs, AR, passed away on February 14, 2013 at the age of 72 years young. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kermit and Jennie Laughlin, and older sister, Janet Smith. Worth, TX; niece Janna and husband Jeff... Read More	Kermit "Jay" Laughlin of Hot Springs, AR, passed away on February 14, 2013 at the age of 72 years young. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kermit and Jennie Laughlin, and older sister, Janet Smith. He is survived by: his loving wife, Jan Laughlin, of 44 year, his two daughters, Jill Laughlin of Hillsboro, OR and Jenny Bolden of Leander, Texas, husband, Larry Bolden, two grandsons, Gabriel and Ty Bolden, his sister and brother -in-law, Susan and Glenn Wortham of Hot Springs Village, AR, nephew Jeb Wortham of Ft. Worth, TX; niece Janna and husband Jeff Drake of Haltom City, TX along with great niece Jilanne Drake. He was born in Lawrence, KS and raised in Cockrell Hill (Dallas), TX where he excelled in football. He later graduated from the University of North Texas and fell in love the game of golf. He served his country in the Air National Guard and served his community as a Rotarian in Coppell, TX and Hot Springs Village, AR. Jay retired with NCH, Inc. after 35 years as Chemical Operations Manager serving both blants in Sunnyvale, CA and Irving, TX. Upon retirement, he and his wife moved to Hot Springs Village and became active members of The Village United Methodist Church. He enjoyed playing golf for a time, watching sports on TV, playing cards with friends and bird watching. Jay will be remembered as a wonderful husband and a loving father where his quite confidence and supportive nature could always be counted on. He was dearly loved and will be deeply missed. Memorial services were held Sunday, February 17th at the United Methodist Church. Burial services will be held in Vinland Cemetery, Vinland, KS on May 4, 2013.
