Funeral services for Mrs. Clara Goslinga, 71, a resident of Orange City about 60 years who died Tuesday at the Orange City Municipal hospital, were held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, July 1 at the First Reformed Church. Burial was in Nassau Township Cemetery at Alton IA. Mrs. Goslinga was born Klaaske "Clara" Dykstra, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Dykstra, on Oct 2, 1888 in the Netherlands. She came to the United States and Orange City with her parents at about the age of 13. She was married Feb 28, 1905 to Tjeerd J. Goslinga, who died May 3, 1951. Survivors are four sons, John, George and Henry, all of Orange City, and Theodore of Princeton, MN; three daughters, Mrs. William Van Velzen (Susan) of Sioux Center, Mrs. K. Jongsma (Marie) of Hospers, and Mrs. J. W. Bruins (Tillie) of Lakewood CA; one brother (John T. Dykstra); two sisters (Coba Vogelzang and Tillie Adema), 30 grandchildren and 6 great grand children.
