Krystal Ann Darger was born on March 13, 1960 in Sioux Falls, SD to William Clair and Beverly (Doty) Darger. She was raised and received her education in Sioux Falls graduating from Washington High School in 1978. Kris was united in marriage with Steve Duffy on July 28, 1984 in Sioux Falls, SD. The couple made their home in Sioux Falls and were blessed with three children, Troy, Amber and Kayla. Kris began working at Starmark Cabinetry in 1982 and worked in various departments throughout her 39-year career at Starmark. Kris enjoyed riding motorcycles with Steve, gardening, hunting, camping, crocheting, baking and canning. Above all she cherished spending time with her family and keeping her husband, Steve in-line. Kris was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, cousin and friend who will be dearly missed. Grateful for having shared her life are her husband, Steve Duffy; three children, Troy Duffy, Amber Marsh and her husband, Greg, and Kayla Duffy and her fiancé, Brock Freer; seven grandchildren, Cassi, Felicity, Michael, Mason, Melanie, Cammy and Olivia; her mother, Beverly Darger Heitman; one sister, Susan Thompson and her husband, Dan; and one brother, David Darger and his wife, Cindy; many nieces, nephews, brothers-in-laws, sisters-in-laws, other relatives and many friends. She is preceded in death by her father, William Clair Darger; one brother, Wm. Roger Darger; and a nephew, Jesse Thompson. - George Boom Funeral Home
