She had been in the yard with her husband just prior to her death, and had returned to the house just ahead of him. She had seated herself in a chair when she suffered the fatal attack. Funeral services were held at 10 o'clock Saturday morning at St. Ann's Catholic Church. The Requiem High Mass was celebrated by Rev. Fr. Richard J. Gorman. Altar boys were Kenneth and Ronald Brueggeman, grandsons of the deceased. Burial was made in St. Ann's cemetery where graveside prayers were conducted by Rev. F. Donald Molumby. The Confraternity of Christian Mothers of Polo, of which she had been a member since 1921, acted as a bodyguard at the services, and members of St. Theresa's Band of Miller attended in a body. Grandsons and nephews of Mrs. Oligmueller were the pallbearers. They were William Enger, and Richard Oligmueller, William, Jerome and Marvin Oligmueller, and Donald Schaefers. Kunigunda Goebel was born in Dodge County, Nebr., on October 22, 1876, and had reached the age of 81 the day before her death. She married to Henry Oligmueller at Stuart, Nebr., on November 15, 1910, and came to Hand County as a bride. Mr. and Mrs. Oligmueller resided on a farm in Fairview township until 1945, when they moved to Miller to make their home. She was the mother of four children, two daughters, Mrs. John Enger (Eleanor), Mrs. Lawrence Bruggeman (Kunigunda) of Miller, and two sons, Lawrence, Casper, Wyoming, and Arnold, Miller. Mrs. Oligmueller is survived by her husband, her four children and two brothers, Fred Goebel, Stuart, Nebr., and Henry Goebel, Vista, Calif., 18 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Her parents, four sisters and three brothers preceded her in death. Relatives from out of town attending the funeral were from Omaha, West Bend, Beemer, Albion and Stuart, Nebr., Highmore, Zell, Pukwana, St. Lawrence, Hoven, Faulkton and Aberdeen. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 1880 Census 30 June 1880, has her being 3 years old. 1885 Census, 17 June 1885, her age is 8 years old 1990 Census 1 June 1990, has her birth as Oct. 1876 With the obit and the three earliest census in her parents household, I'm going to leave the year of birth as 1876 instead of the year of 1886 on the headstone. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Norilee Williamson # 48274570 provided links to parents. ~ 4-25-2022
