Main Street, Aberdeen. Laila Helen Youley, daughter of Frank and Eugenia (Poykko) Youley was born on October 22, 1924 in Guelph, Dickey County, North Dakota. This is the area where she was raised and attended school. Laila was united in marriage to Gustav Bradke on March 18, 1945 in Hecla, SD. They farmed near Guelph for a short time prior to making their home on a farm northeast of Frederick, SD in Savo Township. For many years this is where they made their home. Laila enjoyed working on the farm, especially raising chickens and having a large vegetable garden. Her husband died on February 11, 1983. At this time Laila began making her home in Northville. Laila was a member of Savo Lutheran Church and was also active in the ladies church circle of rural, Frederick. She attended Northville United Methodist Church after moving to Northville until it burned down in 1992. Laila then attended the Northwestern United Methodist Church in Mellette where she was a member of the United Methodist Ladies Group. She was also a member of the Spink County Senior Citizens Group. Grateful for having shared Laila's life are her daughter Donna (Lyle) Peterson, two grandchildren, James (Melissa) Peterson and Diane (David) Watson and four great grandchildren, Austin Peterson, Darien Watson, Danielle Jo Watson and Kyle Peterson all of Northville. Laila was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, two half brothers, Edward and Everett Koivu, two brothers, Leroy and Frank Donald Youley and three sisters, Esther Youley in infancy, Martha Doty and Verna Erhart. .
