Description	:	LaMarne (Bryan) Bowen McNett (February 14, 1920 - December 2, 2009) LaMarne (Bryan) Bowen McNett, 89, of Atchison, KS, went to be with her God on Wednesday, December 2, 2009. LaMarne was born February 14, 1920, the daughter of Lawson and Sarah (O'Dell) Bryan. She was a housewife and homemaker. LaMarne was a member of the Salvation Army and Home League. She enjoyed embroidery, reading and volunteer work, but especially enjoyed her family, grandkids and friends. LaMarne married Alvin T. Bowen in 1938; he preceded her in death in August 13, 1966. Read More	LaMarne (Bryan) Bowen McNett (February 14, 1920 - December 2, 2009) LaMarne (Bryan) Bowen McNett, 89, of Atchison, KS, went to be with her God on Wednesday, December 2, 2009. LaMarne was born February 14, 1920, the daughter of Lawson and Sarah (O'Dell) Bryan. She was a housewife and homemaker. LaMarne was a member of the Salvation Army and Home League. She enjoyed embroidery, reading and volunteer work, but especially enjoyed her family, grandkids and friends. LaMarne married Alvin T. Bowen in 1938; he preceded her in death in August 13, 1966. She married Robert E. "Ed" McNett in 1969; he also preceded her in death in March 1985. Survivors include five sons; Kenneth (Jackie) Bowen, Harold "Buzzy" Bowen, Frank (Sue) Bowen, Sr., Lyle (Lydia) Bowen, Sr., all of Atchison, and Michael (Janet) Bowen, Horton, KS; eight daughters; Frances (Fred) McFeeters, Van Buren, AR, Edith Billings, Bremington, WA, Lucy Warner, Ladys Island, SC, Carolyn (Bud) Muncie, Atchison, KS, Rosa (Steve) Stryker, Palmetto, FL, Mary (Jim) Kopp, Alton, IL, Valerie Thompson and Pamela Weishaar both of Atchison. Additional survivors include 53 grandchildren and 124 great grandchildren, 50 great-great grandchildren, and one great-great-great grandchild. Besides her husbands, she is preceded in death by her parents; Lawson and Sarah (O'Dell) Bryan, two sons; Gerald and Alvin Bowen, Jr., seven brothers, two sisters, four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Funeral service will be 3:00 p.m. Saturday, December 5, 2009 at Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral home with Major Bryan Medlock officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Vernon Cemetery. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Salvation Army in Leavenworth, KS and may be left in care of the funeral home. Condolences to the family may be left at www.beckerdyer.com. LaMarne leaves behind a large family who will miss her very much. May she rest in the arms of the Lord. I give you this one thought to keep - I am with you still - I do not sleep.
