"Pappy" Bryan, 76, who died unexpectedly in the Kaff Drug Store yesterday afternoon, will be held at the Sawin & Dyer chapel at 2 p.m. Friday, Capt. W.E. Graham of the Salvation Army officiating. After a call at the office of his physician yesterday, Bryan went to the drug store to have two prescriptions filled. He had just handed them to the clerk in the store when he collapsed, his head striking the base of the counter, inflicting a deep cut in the forehead. Death was instantaneous and due to a heart attack, according to the coroner. Lawson Theodore Bryan was born at McCook, Neb., Oct. 8, 1875, and had been a resident of Atchison since 1929.
