Description	:	Lana Kay (Cunningham) Davis, 62, of Kearney died Saturday, April 9, 2011, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney. Lana was born April 24, 1948, in Grand Island to Ivan and Shirley (McCray) Cunningham. Lana, the eldest of eight children, grew up on a farm outside of Fullerton in Nance County. She graduated from Fullerton High School in 1966 and was united in marriage on Jan. 17, 1970, to Steven P. Davis in Columbus. Read More	Lana Kay (Cunningham) Davis, 62, of Kearney died Saturday, April 9, 2011, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney. Lana was born April 24, 1948, in Grand Island to Ivan and Shirley (McCray) Cunningham. Lana, the eldest of eight children, grew up on a farm outside of Fullerton in Nance County. She graduated from Fullerton High School in 1966 and was united in marriage on Jan. 17, 1970, to Steven P. Davis in Columbus. She graduated from Kearney State College in 1970 and that same year became a Kearney Public Schools teacher at Bryant Elementary for 35 years, until her retirement in 2005. Lana was an active member of Family of Christ Lutheran Church. She enjoyed being a foster parent, tutoring children in reading, and expanding her collection of giraffe figurines. Thank you to the family, friends, students and foster children who touched and were touched by Lana's life. Survivors include her son, Phil, and daughter-in-law, Jennifer, of Fort Smith, Ark.; her son, Seth, daughter-in-law, Kathleen, and granddaughter, Freya, of St. Louis; her mother of Fullerton; brothers, James of Kearney, Jeffrey of San Diego, Calif., and Matthew of Fullerton; and, sisters, Carol of Elkhorn, Jeanne of Kearney and Julia of Alma.
