Description	:	"Larry “Cokie” Muller, 69, of Scribner died peacefully on Saturday, Sept. 29, 2007, at Arbor Manor in Fremont. ' He was born May 14, 1938, to Otto and Frieda (Heyden) Muller. He was the 10th of 11 children. He attended school in Scribner and Hooper and worked for Parkert Well Service. He began his long career as an auto mechanic at Muller Repair and then at Coke Repair in Scribner. He also worked for Farmer’s Garage in Dodge, IBP in West Point, Dodge Dairy in Dodge and for his nephew, Jay Muller, at Blair Sign and Design Company in Lincoln and Fremont.... He was the 10th of 11 children. He attended school in Scribner and Hooper and worked for Parkert Well Service. He began his long career as an auto mechanic at Muller Repair and then at Coke Repair in Scribner. He also worked for Farmer’s Garage in Dodge, IBP in West Point, Dodge Dairy in Dodge and for his nephew, Jay Muller, at Blair Sign and Design Company in Lincoln and Fremont. He retired due to illness (emphysema/COPD) in 2000. Larry and Bernadean Barker were married in Council Bluffs, Iowa, on Oct. 7, 1955, and were married until 1980. To this union seven children were born. Surviving Larry are his three daughters, Denice (and husband, Michael) Henrickson of Fremont, Debra Timmerman of Waverly and Alice Rathwell of Dodge; four sons, Terry Muller of Omaha, Mark (and wife, Barb) Muller of Fremont, Luke (and wife, Anita) Muller of Dodge and Pete (and wife, Linda) Muller of Snyder; four sisters, Elvira (and husband, Clarence) Schultz and Gloria Mae (and husband, Sylvester) Parr, all of Fremont, Bernitta Seelmeyer of Nickerson and Rodella Kirby of Dumas, Texas; two brothers, Devern Muller of Scribner and Merle (and wife, Mary Ann) Muller of Omaha; 22 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson, RJ; a son-in-law, Jim Rathwell; and four brothers, Darwin Muller (died as a prisoner of war in World War II), Lowell Muller, Wilbur Muller and Robert Muller. Larry was a current resident of Elkhorn Valley Villa in Scribner. He enjoyed joking with the other residents, reading and spending countless hours putting together jigsaw puzzles with his brother, Dee, also a resident. He enjoyed the recent gatherings of his brothers and sisters to reminisce about old times. Larry had a special social gift that so many people enjoyed and was never short of a story or two. He was well known throughout the area as a very knowledgeable auto mechanic. His family will miss his quick wit and quotable quotes he often shared. A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Thursday at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Snyder. Larry donated his body to science so that others may benefit from his passing. Burial will be at a later date in Pebble Cemetery in Scribner near his parents and siblings. Memorials are suggested to Immanuel Lutheran Church in Dodge." Fremont Tribune, October 1, 2007.
