Description	:	Larry Herbert Brazil, the son of Gus H. and Lahoma I. (Glenn) Brazil, was born on January 25, 1936 at Quinton, Oklahoma. He passed away on April 3, 2007 at Brodstone Memorial Hospital in Superior at the age of 71 years, 2 months and 8 days. Read More	Larry Herbert Brazil, the son of Gus H. and Lahoma I. (Glenn) Brazil, was born on January 25, 1936 at Quinton, Oklahoma. He passed away on April 3, 2007 at Brodstone Memorial Hospital in Superior at the age of 71 years, 2 months and 8 days. As a youngster Larry grew up in many different places including Quinton Oklahoma; McAlester, Oklahoma; Tucumcari, New Mexico; and Arapaho, Nebraska. When Larry was entering the 8th grade his family moved to Superior, Nebraska where he was educated and graduated with the class of 1954 from Superior High School. Upon graduating Larry was inducted into the United States Air Force, receiving his basic training from Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas. He served his country for four years as a security service radio traffic analyst in Dorastadt, Germany. He was honorably discharged in January of 1958. Upon returning back to Nebraska Larry enrolled at Milford Technical School, in Milford, Nebraska graduating in 1961. He also attended college at Kansas State for a short period of time. He earned an associate degree as an electronics technician and was employed at Channel 6 which was near Hayes Center, Nebraska and Channel 4 which is north of Hardy, Nebraska. During his career as a student he met Feetzie K. Bargen and they were united in marriage on May 27, 1960 in Superior, Nebraska. This union was blessed with four children. Larry was a 50 year member of the First Baptist Church of Superior. He also was a member of the American Legion St. Mihel Post #103. During his high school years Larry was the School President his senior year, he was very active in sports which included, playing football, baseball, and was a member of the track team. While he served in Germany in the Air Force,Larry played center on the Rhine Main Rockets Football Team. Larry liked to spend time with his family, which were very important to him, he enjoyed watching his kids and then his grandkids participate in their sporting events and other school activities, which kept him busy. In his lifetime, Larry lived in a lot of different communities including; Quinton and McAlester, in Oklahoma Tucumcari, New Mexico, and in Nebraska; Arapaho, Superior, Milford, Broken Bow, and Hastings, Nebraska, Hayes Center, Nebraska, Fairbury, Nebraska and back to Superior, Nebraska, where he presently lived. Preceding him in death was his father, Gus Brazil. Survivors include his wife, Feetzie, and his mother, Lahoma Brazil both of Superior; sons, Gregg and wife Debbie of Superior and David of Superior, Nebraska, and two daughters, Lynn Meyer and husband Brent of Ruskin, Nebraska and Lisa Sorensen and husband Steve of Hardy, Nebraska; eight grandchildren, Tiffany Neeman, Rachel Brazil, Matthew Brazil, Andrew Brazil, Nathaniel Meyer, Danielle Meyer, Kendra Sorensen and Trent Sorensen; two great-grandchildren, Morgan and Hayden Neeman; sister, Linda Ladman and husband Everett of Gresham, Nebraska and brothers-in-law Duane Bargen and his wife Frances of Lincoln,Nebraska and Bill Bargen and his wife Joan of Omak, Washington; nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. Funeral services were held on Saturday, April 7, 2007 at 11:00 AM from the Megrue-Price Funeral Home Chapel in Superior, Nebraska with Pastor Les Warner officiating. Music was "How Great Thou Art" and "Wind Beneath My Wings," with Stephanie Thayer as soloist and Carlita Erickson as organist. Pallbearers were Nathaniel Meyer, Matthew Brazil, Andrew Brazil, Trent Sorensen, Gregg Brazil, Brent Meyer, and Steve Sorensen. Honorary Pallbearers were David Brazil, Tiffany Neeman, Rachel Brazil, Kendra Sorensen, Danielle Meyer, Morgan Neeman and Hayden Neeman. Interment was in the Evergreen Cemetery at Superior, Nebraska with Full Military Rites by American Legion St. Mihel Post #103. Memorials may go in care of the family. Megrue-Price Funeral Home of Superior, Nebraska was in charge of the arrangements.
