Description	:	Larry Lee Flink of Odebolt, Iowa, was born July 11, 1947, in Carroll, the son of Earl and Lucille (Linde) Flink. He was baptized at the Wheatland Presbytarian Church in rural Breda and confirmed at the Early Presbytarian Church in 1959. He transferred his membership to the Odebolt Presbytarian Church in 1960 when the family moved to Odebolt. Larry attended Sunday School, Youth Group and sang in the choir. Read More	Larry Lee Flink of Odebolt, Iowa, was born July 11, 1947, in Carroll, the son of Earl and Lucille (Linde) Flink. He was baptized at the Wheatland Presbytarian Church in rural Breda and confirmed at the Early Presbytarian Church in 1959. He transferred his membership to the Odebolt Presbytarian Church in 1960 when the family moved to Odebolt. Larry attended Sunday School, Youth Group and sang in the choir. He graduated from the Odebolt-Arthur High School in 1965. He enlisted in the United States Army in January, 1966 and served until July, 1969 when he received an Honorable Medical Discharge. Larry was a member of the Disabled American Veterans Chapter No. 33 of Storm Lake where he served as Chaplain, American Legion Post No. 313 of Odebolt where he served as Service Officer and was a member of many other organizations. Hobbies that Larry enjoyed were collecting postcards, business cards, coins, antique machinery and cars. Larry always had a concern for others, He made weekly visits to the nursing home, visited shut-ins and anytime he could help someone, be it get their mail or groceries, he offered his help and use of his golf car to take them. On April 17, 2000, Larry passed away at the Odebolt Nursing and Rehab Center in Odebolt at the age of 52 years. Larry is survived by his mother, Lucille Flink of Odebolt; two sisters, Judy and her husband, Arlin Bunge and Nancy Flink, all of Odebolt; three brothers, Keith and his wife, Joyce, Steve and his wife, Deb, and Randy, all of Odebolt; nieces and nephews, Crystal Bunge of Odebolt, Todd Bunge and his wife, Tam of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Jeana and her husband, Chris Boyd of Clive, Justin Flink and his wife, Amy of Ankeny, Jory Flink of Sioux City, Andrea and Brady Flink of Odebolt, and one great nephew, Nathanael Bunge of Fort Wayne. He was preceded in death by his father, Earl, in 1984. Funeral services for Larry were held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 20, 2000, at the Presbytarian Church in Odebolt with Rev. Charles Bulger and Rev. Perkins Patton officiating. Music was provided by Crystal Bunge as soloist and Carol Raasch organist. Dorothy O'Tool, Joan Simpson and Emma Babcock served on the flower committee. Ushers were Donovan Determann, Clarence Eiler and Jack Simpson. Attendants were Justin Flink. Jory Flink, Brady Flink, Chris Boyd, Allan Kock, Scott Linde, Jerry Einspahr and Terry Neville. Interment was at the Westside Cemetery in Westside with military rites by the American Legion Post No. 313 of Odebolt. The Farber and Otteman Funeral Home of Odebolt was in charge of arrangements.
