He was born in Burlington, Iowa to Max & Jean Griffin of Morning Sun, Iowa. Larry married Linda S. Cruse in 1961. He graduated from Westmar College in Le Mars, Iowa, in 1963. Griffin, was born January 28, 1941 and passed away peacefully at his home, Thursday, June 23, 2011. He was born in Burlington, Iowa to Max & Jean Griffin of Morning Sun, Iowa. Larry married Linda S. Larry's love for his family and the out of doors was his passion. He is survived by his wife, Linda; daughter, Lori Thompson, her husband Brian and daughter Hailey in Okinawa; son, Michael, Montgomery, Texas; granddaughter, Sara, Katke, North Carolina; mother, Jean Griffin, Morning Sun, Iowa and brother, Tom Griffin, Ames, Iowa. Burial will be at Elmwood Gardens, Morning Sun, Iowa, July 8, 2011. Memorials may be sent to April Sound Church or C.B. Stewart West Branch Library, Montgomery, Texas 77356.
