| Description | : | Lars Peter Nielsen was born in or near Nibe, Bislev Parish, Hornum, Ålborg, Denmark. His parents were Christian Nielsen Brams and Else Johanne Larsen. Lars left Denmark in 1883 and came to the U.S., settling in Alta, Buena Vista County, Iowa. He married Anna Marie (Mary) Olson on November 29, 1897 in Storm Lake and rasied his two children in Alta, later moving to the neighboring town of Aurelia, in Cherokee County, Iowa.
