Description	:	LARY E. KOCH, 72, of Loudonville passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on Wednesday, June 21, 2017. Lary was born October 14, 1944 in Mansfield and was the son of the late William A. and Wava L. Snyder Koch. He lived in Loudonville all his life and was a 1962 graduate of Loudonville High School. KOCH, 72, of Loudonville passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on Wednesday, June 21, 2017. Lary was born October 14, 1944 in Mansfield and was the son of the late William A. and Wava L. Snyder Koch. He lived in Loudonville all his life and was a 1962 graduate of Loudonville High School. He attended Ohio University and was a Vietnam veteran of the U.S. Navy serving as a medic aboard the U.S.S. Hornet. Lary was a former employee of Geupel Construction in Columbus and the Loudonville Vending Company. He was a well-known DJ with Solid Sound and was the voice of the Loudonville Car Show since it's inception. He also operated Lary’s Produce Stand on SR 3 for many summers. Lary was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Loudonville, the Loudonville Eagles and was a life-member of American Legion Post 257 and VFW Post 8586. He is survived by his sister: Shirley (Bud) Watters of Spring Hill, Tennessee; two brothers: Jim (Jane) Koch of Norwalk and Bob (Linda) Koch of Loudonville; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, David S. Koch. Celebration of Life Services will be held Wednesday, June 28 at 11 a.m. in Lindsey Funeral Home, Loudonville with Rev. Angel Jackson officiating. Burial with military honors conducted by the American Legion and VFW will follow immediately in Loudonville Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. in the funeral home. The Koch family wishes to give special thanks to Jill Young for her wonderful care-giving of Larry for the past few months. Memorial contributions may be given to Hospice of Knox County, Mt. Vernon, or St. John Lutheran Church, County Road 2575, Lakeville.
