Description	:	Mrs. Laura A. Howell Roberts, age 71, wife of Emry Roberts, of 203 South First Street, Lockhart, died Saturday, May 14, 2011 at Wallace Thomson Hospital. Mrs. Roberts was born in Lockhart March 6, 1940, a daughter of the late Raymond Howell and Sadie Dabbs Howell. She retired from Springs Mills and was a member of First Baptist Church of Lockhart. Mrs. Roberts was born in Lockhart March 6, 1940, a daughter of the late Raymond Howell and Sadie Dabbs Howell. She retired from Springs Mills and was a member of First Baptist Church of Lockhart. Surviving in addition to her husband are two sons: Randy Roberts and wife Lynn and Jeff Roberts and wife Andrea all of Lockhart; two sisters: Lois Vaughan and husband Hayes of Lockhart and Louise Cabaniss of Spartanburg; four granddaughters: Kristy Hall of GA., Debra Roberts, Jennifer Allen and husband Shane both of Lockhart and Chelsea McCloud and husband Michael of Chester; three grandsons: Kyle Roberts, Joey Roberts and Coby Roberts all of Lockhart; and three great-grandchildren. Mrs. Roberts was predeceased by a son: Joey Roberts and a brother: Guy Howell. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Monday, May 16, 2011 at First Baptist Church of Lockhart conducted by the Rev. Ben Hill, Rev. Roger Gosnell and Rev. Wayne Cooke. Burial will be in Lockhart Cemetery. Active Pallbearers will be Tommy Cabiness, Ray Vaughan, Shane Allen, Ted Cabiness, Michael McCloud and Mike Allen. Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Sunday evening at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Lockhart, 112 Mill St., Lockhart, SC 29364. The family is at the home: 203 South First Street, Lockhart, SC 29364.
