Va., daughter of the late Eliza Jane Rock and George Scruggs. Mrs. Bird is survived by her husband, J. Cecil Bird; two daughters, Miss Annetta Bird of Mill Gap and Mrs. Taylor O. Bird of Ellensboro, N. C.; one step-daughter, Mrs. Ralph Swartz of Waynesboro; one son, James C. Bird of Hightown; three sisters, Mrs. Harry M. Taylor of Dunmore, W. Va.; Mrs. Howard G. Burner, Durbin, W. Va.; 12 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted Sunday at two p. m. from the Green Hill Church by the Rev. Norman A. Compton, assisted by the Rev. Douglas Newman of Lynchburg. Burial was in the adjoining cemetery. The body remained at Obaugh Funeral Home in McDowell until one hour before the service when it was placed in the church. Father ??? 180923811
