Description	:	Laura E. Williams Laura E. Williams, 93, of rural Hinton, died Saturday, Aug. 22, 1992 of a long illness. Services were Monday at Christy Morningside Funeral Home in Sioux City. Rev. Laurice D. Streyfeller of Wesley United Methodist church, officiated. Burial was in Liberty Township Cemetery, Hinton. Mrs. Williams was born Dec. 31, 1898 at Ponca, Neb., daughter of Charles L. and Edith U. Smith. She graduated from Ponca high school. Smith. She graduated from Ponca high school. She taught school at Akron, Colo., and at Perry No. 3 school in Plymouth county, Iowa. She married Earl Williams of Hinton Oct. 25, 1919. He died Aug. 14, 1973. She lived on the same farm near Hinton for over 70 years. She was a Methodist. Survivors include eight sons, Lester and John, both of Sioux City, Melvin of Westfield, Iowa, Daryl of South Sioux City, Howard, Richard and Gary, all of Merrill, and Paul .of Hinton; two daughters, Jean Woodruff of Lawndale, Calif., and Doris Williams of Maywood, Calif.; a sister, Joyce Carssow- of Bellflower, Calif.; 20 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers. Pallbearers were her grandsons, Doug, Larry, Dean, Mark, Steve and Kenneth Williams.
