Description	:	Ettie Hoover was born in Johnson county, Iowa, September 1, 1872, and was brought by her parents to Walnut when five years. She lived here during all her girlhood and until August 22, 1890, when she was married to Bert Boiler, and went with him to Nebraska where she has since lived. She died at St. Joseph's Hospital in Omaha, from blood poisoning on June 28, 1900, aged 27 years, 10 months and 28 days. She was the mother of four children: two boys, nine and three years old, a girl six years old and a baby boy of five weeks. She was the daughter of Mrs. Al Vaughn living south of town. Her body was brought to Walnut for burial and the services were conducted by the pastor of the Methodist church on Friday afternoon last. (Walnut Bureau, July 6, 1900, p. 5)
