Description	:	Laura Frances Smith Laura Frances Smith, 95, of Mount Pleasant died Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2010, at Henry County Health Center in Mount Pleasant. Born Sept. 18, 1914, at home in rural New London, she was the daughter of Harrison Quinton and Nancy Minerva Cline Driskell. On June 5, 1934, she married Delbert Lewis Smith in Mount Pleasant. He died Jan. 19, 1973. Mrs. Smith was a homemaker and worked at Staats Manufacturing and Metromail, both in Mount Pleasant, retiring to care for her husband. She attended New London Schools. Read More	Laura Frances Smith Laura Frances Smith, 95, of Mount Pleasant died Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2010, at Henry County Health Center in Mount Pleasant. Born Sept. 18, 1914, at home in rural New London, she was the daughter of Harrison Quinton and Nancy Minerva Cline Driskell. On June 5, 1934, she married Delbert Lewis Smith in Mount Pleasant. He died Jan. 19, 1973. Mrs. Smith was a homemaker and worked at Staats Manufacturing and Metromail, both in Mount Pleasant, retiring to care for her husband. She attended New London Schools. She was of the Methodist faith. She enjoyed crocheting, needlepoint and travel, especially to Branson, Mo. Survivors include three sons, James Smith of Mount Pleasant, Robert Smith of Winfield and Wendell Smith of Burlington; one daughter Nancy "Sus" Hartman of Winfield; 25 grandchildren; eight step grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by three sons, one great-grandchild, her parents and three brothers. Visitation will be from noon to 9 p.m. today at Kimzey Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. The funeral for Mrs. Smith will be at 1 p.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church in Mount Pleasant with the Rev. Brian Katchay officiating. Burial will be in Forest Home Cemetery in Mount Pleasant.
