Obituary.STUCKENBRUK -- Laura Goodale Stuckenbruk was born near Tipton, Iowa, April 30th, 1859, and passed away at the hospital in Carroll, Iowa, Dec. 18th, 1925. Her age was 66 years, 7 months and 18 days.She grew to womanhood near Tipton. There she was married to Geo. Stuckenbruk, April 22, 1883. In 1891 the family came to Calhoun county Iowa, and located on a farm southeast of Lake City. For the past 12 years the home has been in Lake City.She leaves her husband, Geo. Stuckenbruk; one daughter, Laura Stuckenbruk; one son, Carroll O., of Beatrice, Nebr.; one brother, Lester Goodale, of Tipton, Iowa; and two grandsons, Earl and Harry Stuckenbruk, of Beatrice, Nebr.Her health failed nine years ago and since that time she has not been well. A week before her death she was taken to the hospital in Carroll, where she passed away peacefully Friday afternoon, Dec. 18th.She became a Christian early in life and for 34 years was a member of the Woodlawn Church of Christ of Lake City. She lived a consistent Christian life. Her faith was strong; her hope was beautiful. She was a devoted and self-sacrificing wife and mother.The funeral service was held Sunday afternoon, Dec. 20th, in the Woodlawn Church of Christ, Rev. F. O. Reisinger officiating. The music was furnished by a male quartet composed of Dr. W. E. McCrary, F. W. Newendorf, Dr. Longley, Maurice Graham, assisted by Miss Jean Arney and accompanied by Mrs. A. M. Short. The pallbearers were C. O. Goodale, E. E. Goodale, Niels Jorgensen, W. E. Moulds, W. L. Gist and A. M. Short. Following the funeral the family accompanied the body to Tipton, where interment took place on Monday, Dec. 21st, in the cemetery where one infant son, Clifford, lies buried.There were many beautiful floral tributes, expressing the sincere sympathy of the many friends who mourn her loss.
