Adams, 88, a 49-year resident of Manson, died Friday, Nov. 12, 1999, at Regency Care Center. She was born March 4, 1911 at Bethany, NE, the daughter of Arthur and Ella (Wiverly) Keeney. She attended schools at Deweese, NE and was graduated from high school there in 1929. She moved to Manson in 1933. On March 24, 1937, she was married to Sterling Adams at Wenatchee. They resided at Manson where they owned and operated an orchard. For many years, she was seasonally employed with local apple firms, most recently with Manson Growers in the late 1950s. Mr. Adams preceded her in death in 1987. Following his death, she moved to Eugene, OR for four years to be near her son, Dean. She was an avid follower of football in general and the University of Oregon Ducks in particular. She was always observing her son on the field. In 1991, she moved to Wenatchee and since 1997, she has resided at Chelan. Most recently, she wanted to see her granddaughter, Laura and her husband, Giles McMurchie, to share their wedding pictures. Amongst the family, she will be remembered for bringing the family together and keeping it intact. Survivors include two sons: Norman and his wife, Mary of Manson; Dean, of Eugene, OR; a sister, Dorothy Debar of Manson; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers: Gerald, Delbert and Lowell Keeney and a sister, Inez Davisson. Services will be conducted Tuesday, Nov. 16, 1999 at 2 p.m. from Precht Rose Chapel with Donn Plew officiating. Interment will follow at Fraternal Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. Services are under the direction of Precht Rose Chapel, Chelan.
