LAURA WOODWARD DEAD Funeral For Former Knox County Lady Held in Shelby County. Mrs. Laura M. Woodward, nearly 90 years old and who lived the greater part of her life in Knox County, died Saturday at the home of her son, Guy Woodward, near Shelbina. She was born Aapril 11, 1849, at Stevangar, Norway, coming with her parents to settle in Knox County, after landing in Quebec, Canada, when she was 3 years old. As Miss Laura Johnson, she lived on the home place three miles south and two east of Novelty until her marriage to Crayton Woodward. He died twenty-one years ago. They also lived southeast of Novelty for thirty-five years or more. Five children were born to them. Bergettie, Mrs. Frank Prosser, who died a month ago; Sam and Gus Woodward, both dead; Russell, a twin brother of Gus, now living at Nov., and Guy Woodward of near Shelbina, with whom she had been living for several years. there are four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held from the home Monday, with burial in the King cemetery, near Epworth, Shelby County, after services by the Rev. F. M. Branic of Shelbyville.
