Description	:	In the death of Mrs. M. B. Weir of Grant, wife of one of the leading physicians of that city, the community has lost one of its noblest women and expression of regret are both numerous and sincere. Mrs. Weir had suffered a week or more with diphtheria and a complication of diseases, and several physicians who attended her gave out no hope for her recovery, but in spite of this fact, the patient fought valiantly for life, but the odds against her were too great. Dissolution ensued Friday, April 18, 1913, at noon. She was thirty-one years of age. Laura Listen was born at Cumberland, August 28, 1881 and there are four children , three boys and one girl. Mrs. Weir is also survived by a mother living at Cumberland, six brothers and two sisters. The children are Roy, Thelma, Basil, and a baby. The year following their marriage, Dr. and Mrs. Weir moved to Grant, where Dr. Weir has since practiced medicine. Mrs. Weir has been a long time member of the Baptist Church and a noble Christian woman, a devoted wife and an ideal mother. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at two o’clock on the lawn of Dr. Weir’s home and were attended by a large concourse of people. The minister in charge of the services were Rev. J. N.
