Description	:	Funeral services for Mrs. Arthur (Laura) Schoch, 56, of 909 8th Ave. S.E., Aberdeen and formerly of the Groton area were held Friday, Feb. 22, at the First Presbyterian Church in Aberdeen with the Rev. Robert Carey offiating. Mrs. John Evans was the organist and the soloist, David Sueltz, sang “In The Garden” and “The Lord’s Prayer.” The congregation sang “He Leadeth Me.” Burial was in Groton Union Cemetery. The Paetznick-Garness Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements. Active casket bearers were Dave Blackmun, Thomas Blake, Kay Cutler, Roger Locken, Bradley Odland, and Henry Wiedrich. Mrs. Schoch died Tuesday, Feb. 19, at St. Lude’s Hospital in Aberdeen. Laura Odland was born April 20, 1923, at Houghton. She attended school in Groton. She married Arthur Schoch October 7, 1945 at Groton. She attended Northern Normal and Industrial School in Aberdeen and taught for one year at Artas and one year in the Ahern School at Andover. She then taught for two years in Henry Township, Brown County. From 1949 to 1961 the family lived at Crosby, Minn. They moved to Aberdeen where she had since resided. Survivors include her husband, one son, James, of Brooklyn Park, Minn.; two daughtes, Mrs. Mary Sueltz and Mrs. Joseph (Rebecca) Lipp, both of Aberdeen; two brothers, Lawrence Odland, of Tucson, Ariz.; and Dr. Winston B. Odland, of Aberdeen; three sisters, Mrs. Winifred Schuelke, of Groton; Mrs. William (Frances) Green, of Hachensack, Minn.; and Mrs. Phyllis Blake, of Sioux Falls; and one grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents.
