Description	:	Funeral services for Laura L. Wright, 88, of Wall Lake were held at 10:30 a.m. Sat., June 30, 1990, at Trinity Presbytarian Church in Wall Lake. The Rev. Donald W. Gibson officiated. Mrs. Wright passed away suddenly in her Wall Lake home on Wed., June 27. Music was by organist Mrs. Marion Snyder and congregational singing. Mrs. Dorothy Willhoite and Mrs. Martha Jondle were in charge of floral arrangements. Pallbearers were David Boom, Daniel Boom, Bruce Wright, Dennis Wright, Bruce Laursen and Lester Heim. Wright was born in Sac County, Ia., on Jan. 28, 1902, the daughter of August and Ida Voss Rohde. She married Ray Wright in Wall Lake on Mar. 16, 1918, and resided in the Wall Lake vicinity all her life. Besides being a homemaker, Mrs. Wright was a restaurant cook and a popcorn bagger for National Oats. She was a member of Trinity Presbytarian Church and also belonged to the American Legion Auxiliary. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Ray "Pat" and Maxine Wright; a foster son and his wife, Ivan E. and Maxine Rohde of Marion; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; a brother, Gust Rohde of Storm Lake; a sister, Josephine Drost of Wall Lake; a son-in-law, Duane Boom of Lake View; a daughter-in-law, Corrine Wright of Kansas City, Mo.; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ray, in 1954; a son, Alvin Clifford; a daughter, Ida Boom; two sisters, Lois and Ione; and five brothers: Martin, Hugo, Lee, Earl and John.
