Finegan, 97, who died Sunday, Dec. 13, at St. Anthony Regional Hospital in Carroll. The Rev. Mervin Hood will officiate the services. Lector will be Robert Bruner. Casket bearers will be Clarence Spaen, Wilbur Reinhart, Ray Middendorf, Leo Clark, Clair Roetker and Jim Kerwin. Burial will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 2:30 p.m. today at Twit Funeral Home in Carroll. Rosary will be recited today at 3 p.m. by the Legion of Mary and at 8 p.m. Born Feb. 21, 1890, in Laporte, Illinois, she was a daughter of James and Margaret (Ryan) Quirk. She attended school in Fonda. On Jan. 19, 1912, she was married to John E. Finegan by the Rev. D.J. Heelan at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church in Fonda. Mrs. Finegan was a seamstress at HR Cleaners for many years. Mrs. Finegan had been a resident at Carroll Manor since 1981. She was a member of Holy Spirit Parish and the Holy Spirit Guild. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. James (Helen) Wieland of Carroll and Mrs. A.J. (Alice) Kelly of Lake View; a son, Merle Finegan of Carroll; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Helen Quirk of Cherokee and Elsie Kent of Fonda; and a brother-in-law, Pat Finegan of Fort Dodge. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1933; sisters, Mary Quirk, Edna McLain, Eva Nolan, Caroline Finegan and Agnes Ryan; and a brother, James Quirk.
