Description	:	Laurie A. Conrad 1929 Bridgewater Bulletin On Friday, October 25th., a telegram announcing the serious illness of Laurie A. Conrad was received by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Farish Conrad which was followed on Sunday by another telegram which conveyed the sad news of his death at the Eastern Maine General Hopsital, Bangor, the remains being sent home for burial, arriving on Friday. Read More	Laurie A. Conrad 1929 Bridgewater Bulletin On Friday, October 25th., a telegram announcing the serious illness of Laurie A. Conrad was received by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Farish Conrad which was followed on Sunday by another telegram which conveyed the sad news of his death at the Eastern Maine General Hopsital, Bangor, the remains being sent home for burial, arriving on Friday. The funeral which was one of the largest seen for some time, took place from the home of his parents on Sunday afternoon and was in charge of Pine Grove Lodge, I.O.O.F., of which deceased was a valued member. Much sympathy is felt for the parents in the loss of their son at the early age of 26 years, death being due to pneumonia. In his immediate family, he is survived by his parents; three brothers, Aubrey of North Grafton, Mass.; Rolland of Gardner, Mass.; and Rennie, at home; also two sisters, Mrs. J.B. Woodlin of Detroit; and Minnola, nurse in training at the Somerville General Hospital, Somerville, Mass. The Rev. C. McRae preached the funeral sermon and brought a comforting message from the 14th. chapter of John. The hymns sung were: "Jerusalem the Golden," "What A Friend we Have in Jesus," and "No Parting in Heaven." The floral offerings were very lovely including a Broken Circle from the family; sprays and wreaths from relatives and friends, all of which included letters and cards of sympathy.
